Ways to Help
There are several ways volunteers can get involved with 6th Beeston Scout Group. You can volunteer at any level to suit you; for example, from helping out with transport one evening all the way to helping run the group as part of the executive committee. The ways you can get involved include:
- Occasional Section or Group Helper
- Section or Group Assistant
- (Assistant) Section or Group Leader
- Group Executive Committee Member

The Group are looking for somebody to organise its social events.
Currently, we hold two regular annual events: the Summer Event and the Carol Service. In addition to these, the social secretary would be responsible for organising additional events for families, leaders, parents and carers. They would also help in the running of any fund-raising events and assist the Group Chairman in promoting the group generally. This role could be filled by more than one person.
The Group are looking for someone to assist with the regular maintenance issues that arise in our headquarters building.
The role is suited to someone quite practical, who is able to put right minor problems themselves. For bigger issues the coordinator may need to contact a local tradesperson and arrange for them to fix the problem, co-ordinating access to the building.
